Julian Lynch, "Stomper" (Mare) 2010

Julian Lynch finds himself atop my record player quite a lot these days. In addition to being a totally rad dude, his music is, in my humble opinion, just delightful. I was recently privy to an intimate house show he played, and it only enhanced my appreciation. On his new LP, Mare, Julian continues to lay minimalist, low-fi, hypnotic loops as the groundwork for his haunting, dreamy melodies. Check out "Stomper".

Arcade Fire, "Sprawl II" (The Suburbs)

So, its no news to you that Arcade Fire's new one just came out. I like it. Want to know what I LOVE? This track. Check it. Or re-check it, as the case might be.

Zola Jesus, "Sea Talk" (Stridulum II)

Zola Jesus is amazing. And lucky for us she is set to release another new EP this October, and will do so via Sacred Bones. "Sea Talk", a re-recorded version of a previously released track from her 2009 album, Tsar Bomba, will be part of said release. I can not stop listening to this song.

Washed Out, "Feel It All Around" (Life of Leisure)

Washed Out is Ernest Greene from Georgia. The album is brilliant. Truly. I feel as if these two images do a splendid job at capturing the feel of the album. But don't take my word for it! Check out track four below. And then, when the song ends and you find yourself craving more, buy the small batch second pressing while you still can, at aural exploits.

Real Estate, "Basement" (Reality EP)

Real Estate's new EP, Reality, makes me happy. Mexican Summer just repressed another 1,000 copies on clear vinyl. mmm.
